Scottie Pippen recently worked himself out of one of his bad financial decisions. In 2002, he purchased his own gulf stream jet for $4 million only to find out it needed $1 million in repairs to its engine. Fortunately for Pippen, he sued his attorney who failed to inspect the jet and received a $2 million settlement recently.  This merely offsets a number of bad endorsement deals that Pippen bought into throughout his career. Mark Brunell admits he can’t shoulder the burden that is his debt that has continued to pile up over the course of his 17 year career. As a result of poor real estate decisions, Brunell has now accepted he must file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the state of Florida. Brunell expects to be signed later this summer with the New York Jets, but as his career comes closer to the end, the success he once displayed on the field will be overshadowed by his financial nightmares.
